Gingy and I are excited to welcome you to our blog. We will be posting information about new merchandise at Upscale Downtown and new people that we meet at the store.
We just received over 300 pieces of vintage jewelry from 2 amazing consigners, Marcia and Diane. Also Nadine, our vintage expert extraordinaire gave us several vintage jewelry finds from her recent visits to her secret vintage locations!
The store has been redone (yes, again!) to try to position the vintage clothing in the center of the floor surrounding the red carpet (that Gingy enjoys napping on) and on the two sides and the back are the regular consignment clothing, dressy and casual, coats, shoes and bags.
Right now, we're still having a winter clearance for one more week! Hats, scarves and bags are $2, $3 and $5 and are in a basket right up front.
Also our casual clothing, including winter coats, shoes and boots and pocketbooks are mostly at half-price!
Gingy wants you to know we are now taking consignment appointments for spring merchandise and that you can call us at 203-730-0005 and leave a message if we are not there. Our current hours are Tues. - Fri. 11-6. We will take appointments for Sat. Sun. and Mon. if we are available. This week we closed today, Tuesday, because we close if the Danbury Schools are closed and on Thursday, we will close at 4PM so I can visit my friends who will be entertaining in Fairfield from Afula, Israel, sorry for the inconvenience, but they only come once a year, a great group of teens from a home for abused children that I support. Ask me about them!
I also want you to know that Gingy and I were interviewed Sunday by Laurel Tuohy from the Fairfield County Weekly and there should be an article and some pictures (hopefully only of Gingy!) in a few weeks. They are having voting now for favorite vintage and consignment store and I would appreciate if you vote for us for both of them. You do have to vote for at least 20 categories and send in the ballot or vote online at their website www.fairfieldcountyweekly.com
Thanks for reading, remember Gingy and I will be thrilled to see you at Upscale Downtown!
